Drone Assembly Technician

Position Overview:
We seek a detail-oriented and skilled Drone Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical assembly, experience with drone frame components, avionics integration, and a passion for technology. This role involves assembling the structural components of drone frames, integrating avionics and electronic components, ensuring quality control, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble drone frames according to technical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Fit and secure structural components including arms, body plates, and mounts.
  • Integrate electronic components such as motors, ESCs, flight controllers, and wiring into the drone frame.
  • Solder and work with small electronic components to ensure proper connections and functionality.
  • Ensure all structural and electronic assemblies meet precise specifications and tolerances.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure all assemblies meet company standards.
  • Perform functional tests on assembled drones to ensure proper operation of both structural and electronic components.
  • Troubleshoot and repair defective structural assemblies and electronic components.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to improve assembly processes and product designs.
  • Document assembly processes and update technical manuals as needed.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical assembly or electronics is a plus.
  • Previous experience in assembling drones or similar electronic/mechanical devices will be a plus point.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, soldering equipment, and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Basic understanding of electronic and structural components and their functions.
  • Knowledge of soldering and working with small electronic components.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.
