Job Overview
The GIS Engineer will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and maintaining spatial data for drone-based applications. The candidate should have expertise in GIS software, database management, and network design to support aerial mapping, remote sensing, and surveillance projects.

You will collaborate with engineers, drone operators, and analysts to develop geospatial solutions that improve UAV navigation, surveillance, and mission planning.

Key Responsibilities
1. GIS Data Management & Analysis

• Develop, maintain, and update GIS data layers to support drone-based mapping and surveillance projects.
• Process and analyze spatial data obtained from drones, satellite imagery, and other sources.
• Work with vector and raster data to create accurate maps and geospatial models.
• Manage large GIS datasets, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and security.
  
  2. Mapping & Surveying
• Utilize GIS tools to generate high-precision maps for UAV-based applications.
• Process aerial imagery captured by drones for terrain modeling, 3D mapping, and remote sensing.
• Support environmental monitoring, land use analysis, and defense applications using GIS.
  
  3. Network Design & Spatial Analysis
• Support UAV network design by analyzing spatial relationships, terrain constraints, and infrastructure.
• Conduct geospatial analysis to enhance UAV flight planning and mission execution.
• Assist in creating geospatial models to optimize drone operations.
  
  4. GIS Software & Tools Utilization
• Work with ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth, AutoCAD, and ArcMap to create, analyze, and visualize spatial data.
• Provide GIS support for real-time drone tracking and navigation systems.
  
  5. Collaboration & Reporting
• Collaborate with UAV engineers, remote sensing experts, and clients to deliver GIS-based solutions.
• Prepare detailed GIS reports, maps, and visualizations for stakeholders.
  Support R&D teams in improving GIS-driven UAV applications.
  
  Required Skills & Qualifications
  Educational Background:
  Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Geoinformatics, GIS, Remote Sensing, Civil Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  
  Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in GIS software: ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth, AutoCAD, ArcMap.
  Experience in geospatial data processing, analysis, and visualization.
• Strong understanding of coordinate systems, georeferencing, and spatial databases.
• Knowledge of GPS/GNSS technologies and their applications in UAV mapping.
• Ability to integrate UAV-captured data into GIS platforms.
• (Preferred) Familiarity with Python, SQL, or GIS automation tools for scripting and automation.
