UAV Manufacturing and Assembly Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble drone frames and sub-assemblies according to technical drawings and SOPs.
  • Fit and secure structural components including arms, landing gear, payload mounts, and body plates.
  • Integrate electronic components such as motors, ESCs, flight controllers, GPS, and communication modules.
  • Solder and route wiring harnesses for clean and reliable electronic connections.
  • Assist in integrating telemetry radios, gimbals, camera payloads, and power distribution systems.
  • Conduct functional tests and ground checks to ensure mechanical and electronic components work as expected.
  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis on defective parts and systems.
  • Document all builds and maintain production records including BOMs, wiring diagrams, and test logs.
  • Ensure all builds meet internal QC standards and industry compliance (e.g., DGCA guidelines).
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to continuously improve assembly processes and system design.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Diploma/ITI in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electronics preferred.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience assembling drones or similar electronic/mechanical devices.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, soldering equipment, measuring instruments, and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to build quality.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and datasheets.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
